About Me

Olivia Sheed is an emerging journalist, graduating from the top-rated journalism school in the UK, with a Master’s degree in Film (specializing in sound recording and design). Currently based in Newcastle but willing to relocate.

She has most recently worked as a digital writer with tech website What’s the Best, under publishing giant Bauer Media Group. In this role, she could test, critique and review tech from some of the biggest brands in the world, including ASUS, JBL, Nothing and Turtle Beach. Through these reviews, she garnered a wide list of PR contacts across multiple brands, was invited to brand events, and wrote press releases on the latest technology hitting the market. She was able to increase her SEO proficiency while in this role, and is able to write in a way that stays current and relevant to any audience.

Her work has also been featured in several publications, her writing ranging from issues within the video game industry to reviewing comedians at the Fringe. In addition to her published work, she specialises in digital investigations, world affairs, and politics. She has written about insidious online trends, such as fake medicine and online pedophile rings.

Growing up in the North East of England, she is very in touch with the welfare issues of the area, focusing her debut documentary “Systemic Harm” on the many problems plaguing disabled people attempting to access the benefits they deserve. She spoke to several charities and affected people across the region, and hopes to make more documentaries on subjects that matter to people.
